If Facebook shows a “500 followers for 30 consecutive days” message, do not treat that number as the current universal rule for Facebook monetization. Meta says In-stream Ads, Ads on Reels and the Performance Bonus Program ended on August 31, 2025. The current Facebook Content Monetization program is invite-only for eligible creators and can cover eligible public Reels, photos, Stories and text posts.

The correct next step is to date and read the exact message shown on your account, then verify current eligibility inside the Professional Dashboard or Meta Business Suite. A legacy threshold displayed in an old article, screenshot or account flow should not override the current in-product status.

What the 500-followers message means

It may be a legacy or feature-specific threshold connected to an older product, account type or eligibility screen. It is not proof that a creator has been invited to Facebook Content Monetization, and it does not replace Meta’s current review and onboarding process.

Availability and eligibility can vary by account and location. Use the current in-product dashboard as the authority for your account, and keep a dated screenshot of what it shows.

How to check your current Facebook eligibility

  1. Open the Facebook Page or professional-mode profile you want to check.
  2. Open the Professional Dashboard or Meta Business Suite.
  3. Find the Monetization section.
  4. Check whether Facebook Content Monetization is available or whether the account is invited.
  5. Check Account Status and policy notifications.
  6. Use Meta’s support and appeal options if the dashboard appears incorrect.

Take a screenshot of the eligibility screen and date it. That gives you a record if the requirements or account status change.

What Meta may still review

For Stars, Meta says creator content is reviewed for Community Standards, original content created exclusively for Facebook, Content Monetization Policies and real engagement, and that Facebook approves creators before they enable Stars. A follower count alone therefore cannot establish eligibility.

Avoid copied videos, recycled watermarked content, misleading engagement tactics, or claims that a purchased follower count guarantees approval. Those actions can create policy and trust problems even if the visible number rises.

A safer plan for reaching and keeping 500 followers

  • publish original content for a defined audience;
  • use a consistent format viewers can recognize;
  • reply to real comments and questions;
  • cross-promote the Page through owned email, website, and other social profiles;
  • collaborate with relevant creators or businesses;
  • use Meta advertising only when you can measure the cost of a real business result; and
  • track returning viewers, comments, shares, and conversions rather than follower count alone.

Does buying followers unlock Facebook monetization?

No service can guarantee monetization approval. A larger follower count does not prove original content, policy compliance, or authentic engagement, and it does not override Meta’s review. If you evaluate a paid promotion or audience-growth service, treat it as a separate marketing purchase—not an eligibility guarantee.

Bottom line

The “500 followers for 30 days” message is not the current blanket Facebook monetization rule. The old In-stream Ads, Ads on Reels and Performance Bonus programs ended in 2025, while Facebook Content Monetization is currently invite-only. Check your dashboard, follow Meta’s policies, and build around original content and real engagement.

TweetAngels offers Facebook audience-growth options, but the offer must not claim it unlocks monetization, guarantees organic reach, or satisfies Meta’s review.
